'A children's book that teaches kids 9 and up a new acting method'There's an ethereal playing card game going around, that does more than any actor could think, ask, or imagine; to pull out their greatness and develop the best version of themselves, that helps them harness and learn to use their gift of acting as a superpower to shift atmospheres and turn traumatic evil into something good, by becoming a suprACTOR. But, no one knows how or where to get this game, except one boy.Meet Diament - a ten-year-old actor and pacifist, who takes a fancy to mental disorders. He struggle with emotional and physical symptoms of abuse. He often describes the feeling of abuse as wearing a massive contraption on his head (Reverse Bear Trap) a reverse-engineered bear trap device designed to spring open rather than clamp shut, and deals with this by keeping silent to keep anything from triggering abuse. His relationship with his parents has also become strained, particularly as his father started abusing his mother and dating his best friend's mother behind her back, whom he resents for having replaced his mother. He has an entertainer of an explorer personality, who is a spontaneous, energetic and enthusiatic person - life is never boring around him that masks his introverted personality under his skin.Life can be cruel sometimes. Life can be kind sometimes. Nobody said it would be easy, but nobody said it would be this hard, cold and cruel. Life’s always attacking you and usually when you have no defense. It can break you down, rip out your heart, throw you to the ground, shatter you to pieces, and shred you apart. God never promised an easy life, but He did promise a way of escape and fulfilled life, provided with His Spirit to help us in times of weakness and suffering. And so, for one boy it all began once upon a time, about several years ago, there was an aspiring 10-year-old actor, who had been suffering in silence with abusive parents. Every day, he would play hide-and-go-seek with his pretend friend as a way of escape. One day, he was running around the backyard when he found a deck of magical playing cards, and as he played the game; he just disappeared. Just like that. Because of that, he materialized in the shoes of his pretend friend as a character in a scene drew up by the cards. Because of that, he was able to co-exist between the real world and argmented reality. However, he must choose either to be the best actor without parents in this inner-world, or the best for his world living in an environment of domestic violence.In brief, 'What mental illness taught me is that I give power to what I give my focus and attention to'. The VOX acting method is an approach to acting developed by American film/theater practitioner, Joel Brown. The goal of the new acting method is for the actor to not focus on the role that the environment plays on them, but instead concentrate on becoming a better version of the character in that situation that is trying to squeeze you into its mode.
